Enough reading about AI.

Let's put it to work for you.

AI Launchpad: Bring a problem. Leave with a working solution.

A hands-on morning for business leaders, Friday, November 6, in Oakville.

Everyone has heard that AI can help their business. Few people have had the time to sit down and make it happen. They try a few prompts, hit a wall, and go back to the way things were.

AI Launchpad gives you that time, plus the help to get past the wall. It's a working session, not a presentation. You spend most of the morning building, and you leave knowing how to tackle the next problem on your own.

Who Should Apply

  • Owners and leaders of growing businesses
  • People who've tried AI and gotten stuck
  • People who haven't started and want a guided first step
  • Anyone with a list of tasks they wish would take less time

You don't need technical skills. You need a laptop, a few problems, and a willingness to try.

How it works

  1. Apply: Tell us about your business and the problems you want to solve. We review every application and keep competing businesses apart.
  2. Get ready: Once you're accepted, we'll help you prepare so you can start building as soon as you sit down.
  3. 8:30 am: Breakfast and introductions. You'll meet the other business leaders in the room.
  4. 9:00 am: A short guest talk on how real businesses are using AI today. Specific examples, not predictions.
  5. 9:30 am – 12:15 pm: You work. Digital Fire staff move around the room, answering questions, fixing what's broken, and pointing you to better approaches. The people beside you trade ideas too.
  6. 12:15 pm: Lunch and show-and-tell. Everyone shows what they built.

What people build

It depends on what you bring. Examples of what's possible in a morning:

  • A calculator or quote tool for your website
  • A template that turns meeting notes into client follow-ups
  • An automation that moves data between two systems you use
  • A first-draft generator for proposals, job postings, or reports
  • A cleaned-up spreadsheet with formulas that do the work for you
  • A custom AI assistant that knows your processes and answers staff questions

It's already worked

At our most recent Spark peer group session, every person left with at least one deliverable. A local immigration law firm built two eligibility calculators and published them on its website before the session ended. See them: Express Entry CRS calculator and OINP calculator.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Why do I have to apply?

Because people work together in the room. We make sure no two competing businesses are in the same session, so you can share what you're working on openly. It also lets us come prepared for your problems.

  • Do I need to be technical?

No. If you can use email and a web browser, you can do this.

  • What if I don't know what to work on?

The application helps you think it through, and we'll suggest problems that make good first projects.

  • Which AI tools will we use?

Whichever fits your problem. Most people use ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot, or Gemini. We'll help you choose.

  • Can I bring a colleague?

Yes. You can bring one colleague from your business for $100 + HST. Add their name and role to your application. Two people from one business often get more done, especially when they work on the same problem together.

  • Is my data safe?

We'll show you how to work with AI tools without exposing sensitive information. Don't bring confidential client data to the session.

  • What if the room is full?

Apply anyway. We'll be announcing additional dates shortly, and people on our list hear about them first.

  • Can't make November 6?

Apply and indicate on the form that you can't make this date. We'll be announcing additional dates shortly, and we'll reach out to you first.

  • What if I can't make it?

You'll get a full refund if you let us know at least 48 hours before the session.
